This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Buzzytalk collects from you, why we collect it, how we use it, and how we protect it. We believe privacy is a right, not a checkbox. Buzzytalk exists so people can share freely and talk openly - that only works if you can trust us with your information.
No Data Selling
Buzzytalk does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third-party company - not to advertisers, data brokers, or any commercial partner. Ever. Your life is not our product.
No Algorithms
Your feed is yours. It's chronological and unfiltered, not curated by a machine designed to keep you endlessly scrolling. What you see is what actually happens right now.
End-to-End & Safety
Your private conversations stay private. End-to-end security ensures only you and the recipient can read them, while safety features protect our community.

Who This Policy Applies To
This Policy applies to everyone who creates a Buzzytalk account, uses the Buzzytalk app or website, or interacts with any Buzzytalk feature, including Moments, Wishes, and My Hive.
If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian should read this Policy with you.
What Information We Collect
We collect two types of information: information you give us directly, and information we collect automatically when you use the app.
Information You Give Us
First name, last name, email address, date of birth, mobile number and country code, profile picture, sign-in platform, and your about you bio. All provided voluntarily when you sign up.
Content You Create
Moments, Wishes (including anonymous ones), comments and reactions, and My Hive mood and interest data. Anonymous Wishes are hidden from other users but remain linked to your account internally for safety.
Automatically Collected
App usage data, device information (type, OS, app version, device identifiers), and log data (errors, crashes, performance). Log data is retained for a maximum of 90 days then permanently deleted. Never used for advertising.
Camera permission is requested only for Moments. Contact access is entirely optional and requested only if you choose to discover friends via address book synchronization. Photos and videos are uploaded only when you actively choose to post. Gallery access is not permitted - Moments must be captured live. You can revoke permissions at any time through your device settings.
Address Book & Contact Information
When you choose to enable our friend discovery and recommendation features, Buzzytalk collects and transmits contact details—specifically contact names, phone numbers, and email addresses—from your device's address book to our secure backend servers over encrypted TLS/HTTPS protocols.
Core App Functionality Purpose: The sole purpose of this collection is core app functionality: cross-referencing contact identifiers against our active member registry to identify existing connections, recommend mutual acquaintances to follow, and facilitate friend and user matching.
Under no circumstances does Buzzytalk sell, lease, rent, or share address book data with third-party advertisers, data brokers, or commercial tracking networks.
Strict Data Lifecycle & Retention: We enforce a strict data lifecycle. Uploaded contact lists are retained in our database for a maximum duration of up to 30 days to power matching algorithms, after which all non-matched contact entries are permanently purged from server storage.
User Consent, Permission Control, and Deletion Rights
Contact information is never synced automatically in the background or upon installation. Users must first be presented with a clear in-app disclosure followed by an explicit system permission request before any address book data is read.
Granting this permission is entirely voluntary, and users have the full right to decline or ignore the request. If a user declines the permission, the application will respect that choice immediately: no contact data will ever be accessed, read, or synced, and the user will continue to have unrestricted access to all core features of the platform.
Furthermore, even if a user initially grants access, they maintain the right at any time to revoke this permission via their device settings or in-app preferences. Users may also request the immediate, permanent deletion of any previously synced contact information stored on our servers through the in-app account interface or via our support portal at contact@buzzytalk.com.
How We Use Your Information
We only collect information we genuinely need to operate and improve Buzzytalk. We use it to:
- Run the platform: create and manage your account, enable Moments and Wishes, match you in My Hive, and show you your feeds.
- Keep you and the platform safe: verify your identity and age, detect fake accounts and abusive behaviour, detect and remove Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) or Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), process user reports, and report confirmed CSAM to NCMEC and law enforcement.
- Improve the app: analyse feature usage, diagnose technical errors using log data, and develop new features.
- Communicate with you: send important account notifications and respond to your support requests.
- Meet legal requirements: comply with applicable laws, regulations, and lawful requests from authorities.
How We Share Your Information
Buzzytalk does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third-party company - not to advertisers, data brokers, or any commercial partner. Ever.
Your personal information is not shared with external companies for their own marketing, profiling, or commercial purposes. We may disclose your information only to comply with the law, enforce our policies, prevent fraud, protect safety, or with your explicit consent.
We may use trusted technical service providers (for example, cloud hosting or security services) who process data on our behalf. These providers are bound by strict contractual obligations, are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes, and are carefully vetted before being given any access.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep your information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.
- Account information: (name, email, DOB, mobile number, profile picture, bio) while your account is active, deleted when you delete your account.
- Uploaded contact lists: retained for a maximum duration of up to 30 days to power matching algorithms, after which all non-matched contact entries are permanently purged from server storage.
- Moments and Wishes: until you delete them, or when a Wish expires based on the duration you set.
- Log data and usage data: maximum 90 days, then permanently deleted.
- Content reported for safety review: or child protection (including CSAE/CSAM investigations) retained as required for safety reviews, law enforcement cooperation, and reporting to NCMEC.
- Data required by law: retained for the period required under applicable law.
Your Rights & Cookies
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data - including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, or object to how we use your data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@buzzytalk.com.
Buzzytalk uses cookies and local storage to keep you logged in securely, maintain your app state, analyse traffic, and detect fraud. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites, serve you advertisements, or share cookie data with advertising companies.
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will notify you through the app for significant changes. The current version published in the app and on our website is always the one that applies.
Data Deletion
You are always in control of your own data on Buzzytalk. To request the deletion of your account and all associated data, please send an email to contact@buzzytalk.com with the subject line 'Account Deletion Request'. In your email, please include your full name, registered email address, Buzzytalk handle, and phone number so we can verify your identity and process the deletion.
