Community Guidelines
These Community Guidelines explain how we expect people to treat each other on Buzzytalk. They are not just rules - they are the foundation that makes Buzzytalk work. A place where people can share freely and talk openly only stays that way if everyone plays their part.
These Guidelines work alongside our Terms and Conditions and our Data Privacy Policy. If you break these Guidelines, you are also breaking our Terms and Conditions, and the consequences described in both documents may apply.
The Spirit of Buzzytalk
Our core principles describe what it means to use Buzzytalk well. They are not a checklist - they are the values that make real connection possible.
Be Real
Buzzytalk only works if people are honest. Share what is actually true for you, not a performance of it. Moments must be captured live for this exact reason - no staging, no filters, no curated version of your life.
Be Respectful
Disagreement is fine. Cruelty is not. Treat every person you interact with - including people you have never met and may never meet again - with basic human decency.
Be Safe
Never do anything on Buzzytalk that could put another person's physical, emotional, or digital safety at risk. This includes how you behave in My Hive calls, what you encourage others to do, and how you use anonymity.
Be Honest About Who You Are
You can be anonymous in a Wish. You cannot be someone else. Impersonation, fake identities, and misleading profiles break the trust this whole platform depends on.
Consent Always Matters
Nobody owes you a conversation, a match, a call, or a response. Consent applies to every interaction on Buzzytalk - especially in My Hive, where you are speaking with someone live.
Guidelines by Feature
Each feature on Buzzytalk carries specific expectations:
Moments
Capture directly from your camera at the time of posting - no gallery uploads. Do not stage a Moment. If another identifiable person appears, make sure you have their comfort and consent. Do not post purely to provoke, shock, or humiliate someone.
Wishes
Every Wish starts with 'I want to...' - keep it honest. Use anonymity to be honest about something hard, not to say something you would never say under your own name. Do not use anonymous Wishes to harass, deceive, or mislead. Do not spam or advertise.
My Hive
You must be 18 or older. Treat every match with the same respect you would want in person. Never record, screenshot, or share any audio or video from a session without explicit consent. You can leave a match at any time, for any reason.
Content We Do Not Allow
This applies everywhere on Buzzytalk - Moments, Wishes, comments, profiles, and My Hive conversations.
- Hate speech and discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other characteristic.
- Harassment, bullying, threats of harm, stalking behaviour, and coordinated piling-on against another user.
- Nudity, sexually explicit material, and unsolicited sexual content anywhere on the platform, including in My Hive calls.
- Any content that sexualises, exploits, or endangers a minor, including Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). Zero tolerance - removed immediately, accounts terminated, and reported to NCMEC and legal authorities.
- Violence and graphic content that depicts, threatens, or glorifies violence or promotes harm towards people or animals.
- Self-harm and suicide promotion. Talking openly about struggling is welcome - what is not allowed is content that promotes, encourages, instructs, or glorifies self-harm.
- Misinformation, impersonation, or illegal activity including drug sales, weapons trafficking, fraud, or hacking.
- Privacy violations and doxxing - sharing another person's private information, images, location, or communications without consent.
- Spam, scams, unsolicited advertising, fake giveaways, phishing attempts, and repeated promotional content.
Child Safety Standards & CSAE/CSAM Policy
Buzzytalk maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) and Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). We prohibit any user from creating, uploading, sharing, or distributing content that facilitates or promotes child exploitation or endangerment in any form.
Prohibited behaviors on Buzzytalk include, but are not limited to:
Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) & CSAE
Creating, uploading, hosting, or sharing any sexualized content, imagery, or video featuring or depicting minors.
Child Grooming
Befriending, targeting, or interacting with a child online to facilitate sexual contact, solicit intimate imagery, or engage in predatory behavior.
Sexualization & Exploitation of Minors
Depicting, encouraging, or promoting the sexual abuse or physical/online exploitation of children.
Sextortion
Threatening, coercing, or blackmailing a child using real or alleged access to intimate images or private communications.
Child Trafficking
Advertising, soliciting, or facilitating the commercial sexual exploitation of a minor.
Inappropriate Interactions
Targeting minors with suggestive, sexually explicit, or predatory dialogue anywhere on the platform.
Action & Reporting Obligations
Buzzytalk provides in-app mechanisms allowing users to report safety concerns, inappropriate posts, or abuse directly from posts, profiles, and messages. Upon gaining actual knowledge or receiving a report of CSAM or CSAE, Buzzytalk immediately removes the content, permanently terminates the responsible user account, and reports confirmed violations to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant regional or international law enforcement authorities.
Designated Child Safety Point of Contact
Buzzytalk has appointed a designated Child Safety representative positioned to respond to notifications from Google Play, law enforcement, and users, and to enforce child safety procedures. For any child safety inquiries, reports, or enforcement notices, contact us at contact@buzzytalk.com.
Anonymity, Reporting, and Enforcement
Wishes can be posted anonymously so people feel safe being honest. This is a privilege built on trust, not a tool for causing harm without consequences. Anonymous posts are still tied to your account internally for safety and moderation purposes. If an anonymous Wish violates these Guidelines, the same consequences apply as they would under your name.
If you see a user, Moment, Wish, comment, or My Hive interaction that breaks these Guidelines, email us at contact@buzzytalk.com with a brief description. Our team reviews every report and takes it seriously. You can also block any user at any time from their profile.
Depending on the severity, we may issue a warning, remove content, restrict features, temporarily suspend, or permanently remove an account. Severe violations or illegal activity may be referred to law enforcement.
